A few feelings I have on engagement sessions.
1. Get offline. Let your photos be a result of emotion, gut instinct, your relationship, your history. Set a tone of total intolerance for comparison as you start this preparation for marriage.
2. Don't mind me. These photos will be successful if they reflect your love story back at you. Focus on each other and we'll nail it.
3. These are for the grandbabies. For sharing the good news with your favorite people. These are not for pleasing other people. So let's all take a breath. Relax, let's talk about why you love each other and take good photos. And if we need to meet for a beer first, I'm down.
These two loves made for an ideal engagement session. Just a lot of story-telling. That's a remarkable gift. Vulnerability and an invitation into a highly specific season in a couple's life- packed with questions and anticipation.
I love love. This weekend I get to attend a wedding for the first time in ages. Holler.
